Key Responsibilities
As The Office Specialist For Surplus Property, You Will
- Process surplus property intake and documents.
- Research specifications and value of property to be sold/auctioned.
- Assign sale prices to property.
- Create and maintain files and records.
- Answer telephone and assist callers.
- Process daily incoming and outgoing mail.
- Order office supplies.
- Take photos of items to be auctioned.
- Post and monitor online auctions.
- Assist the public and others with information on merchandise.
- Prepare final sale of items.
- Retrieve sale items to be purchased or photographed.
- Inspect and inventory passenger vehicles and heavy equipment outside prior to auction listing.
- Wash vehicles, charge batteries, and remove snow from vehicles as needed.
- Minor vehicle maintenance
Position involves working indoors and outdoors throughout the year.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
The best qualified candidate for this position will have at least 1 year of experience:
- Providing customer service in an office environment.
- Utilizing office equipment.
- Preparing and processing documents.
- Using Microsoft Excel, Word, Access, and Gmail.
Preferred Qualifications
Preference may be given to applicant who are:
- Highly skilled in data manipulation and reporting via MS Access and Excel.
- Able to use Material Handling Equipment.
