Who We Are

KidStrong is where kids win at life. We use a science-backed curriculum to help children ages walking to 11 years build physical strength, brain power, and character — all wrapped in an unforgettable experience. Our Colorado Springs center is locally owned and operated, and we are proud to be a real part of this community.

This is not a corporate gig with a corporate feel. This is a small business where every relationship matters, every class matters, and every decision you make shows up in the experience of the families we serve.

Who We're Looking For

  • We are looking for a General Manager who wants to run a business, not just manage a schedule. Someone who sees themselves as the face of KidStrong Colorado Springs — the leader our coaches look up to, the friendly face every parent recognizes at drop-off, and the person every kid wants a high-five from.
  • If you are someone who thrives on building real relationships, takes pride in being a role model, and gets fired up by the idea of being directly rewarded for the results you drive, keep reading.
  • This role is also a unique opportunity for the right person. You will work side-by-side with the owner, an entrepreneur actively building a business in Colorado Springs. You will be in the room for the conversations most managers never get to be part of — sales strategy, financial decisions, hiring, marketing, community partnerships, and growth planning. If you have ever thought about owning a business yourself one day, this is the kind of seat that teaches you what business school cannot.
  • This is not a 9-to-5 transactional job. We build relationships with our families and our kiddos, and we genuinely make a difference in our community. You should want that too.

What You'll Do

  • Be the role model. Set the standard for energy, professionalism, and care. Your team will rise to the bar you set.
  • Coach the coaches. Recruit, onboard, train, and develop a team of rockstar coaches. Run regular feedback sessions, lead practice, and turn good coaches into great ones.
  • Build the culture. Create an environment where coaches love showing up and families feel it the moment they walk in the door.
  • Communicate clearly. Keep the team aligned through Slack, email, in-person huddles, and one-on-ones.

Drive Sales and Grow the Business

  • Own the membership pipeline. Set trial classes, follow up with leads quickly, and convert interested families into long-term members. Our goal is 50 new members per month.
  • Work the phones and the inbox. Call, text, and email leads with energy and urgency. Identify what each family is looking for, build trust, and help them say yes.
  • Be the face in the community. Represent KidStrong at local events, schools, and partnerships across Colorado Springs. Make us the studio every parent in town has heard of.
  • Hit the numbers. Know your KPIs cold — leads, trials, conversions, retention, revenue — and use them to make better decisions every week.

Coach on the Floor

  • Stay hands-on. Actively coach multiple classes per week. The best GMs in our system never lose touch with what happens on the blue floor.
  • Deliver the curriculum. Bring our programming to life with high energy, clear instruction, and a contagious belief in every kid in the room.
  • Track progress. Use the KS Coaches App to stay on top of attendance, achievements, and member experience.
  • Earn your certification. Complete KidStrong HQ Coach Certification and keep growing from there.

Run the Center

  • Master the numbers. Know your financials, KPIs, and weekly performance inside and out.
  • Keep it spotless. Maintain a clean, organized, professional center that families are proud to bring their kids to.
  • Build the relationships. Be the friendly face every family looks for. Remember names. Ask about the soccer game. Be the reason they stay.
  • Delegate well. Build a team you can trust so the business runs smoothly — even when you take a day off.

Who You'll Work With

  • Supervise: Assistant General Manager and the coaching team
  • Collaborate with: Center families and team members — you are the glue holding it all together
  • Coordinate with: The owner / Area Developer and the KidStrong HQ team

You're a Fit If You Have

  • Experience working with kids. Coaching, teaching, camp counselor, youth sports — anything where you have led kids ages 15 months to 11 years.
  • Real people skills. You can hold a great conversation with a four-year-old and their grandparent in the same five minutes.
  • A leader's instinct. You have managed or mentored people before, or you have been the unofficial leader everyone naturally followed.
  • Sales comfort. You are not afraid of the phone, the follow-up, or the ask. You see sales as serving — helping families say yes to something great for their kid.
  • Tech fluency. Comfortable with Google Workspace, Microsoft, social media, and learning new tools quickly.
  • CPR certification (or willingness to earn it).

What Sets the Best GMs Apart

  • The people who thrive in this role share a few traits. They hold themselves and their team to a high standard. They lead from the front instead of from behind a desk. They are goal-oriented and energized by hitting numbers, not stressed by them. They communicate clearly under pressure, treat every person with respect, and bring the kind of energy that makes a Saturday morning class feel like an event. They are organized, adaptable, and curious — always looking for the next thing to learn.
  • Above all, they understand that this is a relationship business, and relationships are built one interaction at a time.

Why This Role

  • Real ownership. You will run the day-to-day of a real business with real revenue, real customers, and real impact.
  • Direct reward. Your compensation is tied to the results you produce. Grow the business, grow your paycheck.
  • A seat at the table. Work directly with the owner and learn how a business actually gets built — the kind of education you cannot buy.
  • Meaningful work. You will spend your days helping kids become more confident, capable, and strong — and helping parents see those changes happen.
  • Career runway. Strong performance opens the door to bigger things, including future leadership opportunities as the business grows.
