About Earthly Dynamics Corporation

Earthly Dynamics Corporation (EDC) is a rapidly growing aerospace R&D firm in Roswell, Georgia, pioneering autonomous control technologies for unmanned aircraft and precision airdrop systems. Our multidisciplinary teams tackle challenging problems from sensor integration to flight‑test validation, all in a collaborative, hands‑on environment.

Position Summary

We’re seeking an Electronics Engineer to own the full electronics development lifecycle—from concept and schematic capture through PCB layout, firmware development, and prototype fielding. You’ll design and validate circuitry for our electromechanical and sensor payloads, then work side‑by‑side with mechanical designers and software engineers to bring hardware into production and flight.

Key Responsibilities

Circuit & PCB Design

  • Create and review schematics for analog, digital, RF, and power‑electronics subsystems
  • Develop PCB layouts (KiCAD) with DFM/DFT best practices
  • Generate BOMs, coordinate with vendors, and manage component obsolescence

Embedded Firmware

  • Author, debug, and optimize firmware in Embedded C/C++ for microcontrollers
  • Integrate sensor drivers, communication stacks (SPI, I²C, CAN), and real‑time control loops

Prototyping & Test

  • Build, assemble, and verify prototype boards in our lab; develop test fixtures and procedures
  • Perform bench validation (oscilloscope, logic analyzer) and support environmental testing
  • Travel to field test events in support of system validation or demonstration testing

Cross‑Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with mechanical designers to ensure form‑fit integration in constrained enclosures
  • Coordinate with systems and software teams on interfaces, power budgets, and EMI/EMC mitigation

Documentation & Reviews

  • Produce clear design documentation, test reports, and engineering change orders
  • Participate in design reviews, risk assessments, and process‑improvement initiatives

Required Qualifications

  • BS in Electronics Engineering or Electrical Engineering (MS or PhD a plus)
  • ≥ 2 years of hands‑on PCB schematic capture and board layout experience
  • Proven ability to select components for sensing and electromechanical applications
  • Proficiency in Embedded C/C++ firmware development and debugging
  • Strong understanding of signal integrity, power distribution, and grounding practices

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with Python for scripting, data analysis, or automated test
  • Prior work integrating electronics with mechanical actuators or motion systems

Travel Requirement

This position requires occasional travel, approximately 5–10% of the time, for purposes such as field testing.

Citizenship

Due to ITAR regulations and sponsor requirements, applicants must be U.S. Citizens or Green Card holders.

What We Offer

  • Competitive salary with performance‑based bonuses
  • Comprehensive health, dental, and vision coverage
  • 401(k) plan with company match
  • Generous paid time off, holidays, and professional development stipend
  • A collaborative culture where your designs fly on real aerospace platforms
