Job Summary

ABAC¿s Department of Agriculture is home to an interdisciplinary group of scholars who work together to offer courses in support of our B.S. degrees in Agribusiness, Agricultural Technology Management, Agriculture, Environmental Horticulture, Agricultural Education, and Agricultural Communication. We seek qualified adjunct faculty to teach courses in Agribusiness. Part-time, temporary, adjunct faculty may instruct one or two courses a semester on an as-needed basis. Possible courses include Introduction to Agribusiness Management, Agricultural Records, Introduction to Agribusiness Computations, Applied Economics, Introduction to Agricultural Marketing, Commodity Marketing, Agricultural Financial Management, Food and Agricultural Marking, Agribusiness Management, Agricultural Records II, or Food and Agricultural Policy. These courses may be offered in a traditional face-to-face format or online, depending upon the need. The Department of Agriculture currently offers courses face-to-face and online at ABAC's main site in Tifton and online to service the instructional site in Bainbridge. Applicants interested in teaching at either site are welcome to apply.

Required Qualifications

  • Masters degree in Agricultural Economics, Agribusiness, or a closely related field with a minimum of 18 graduate semester credit hours related directly to the major.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to use current technology in support of instructional activities (including laboratories).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in teaching agribusiness or agricultural economics courses at the college level.
  • Professional work experience in agribusiness or closely related fields.
