Maintenance Manager - $110k - $135k + 7% bonus (relocation potential)

Overview

We're looking for an experienced Maintenance Manager to lead our processing facility team. You'll be responsible for keeping all equipment running safely and efficiently — from hands-on troubleshooting to building out preventive maintenance programs and leading a dedicated team.

What you'll be doing

  • Repair and maintain industrial machinery including automation, mechanical, electrical, and conveyor systems
  • Identify root causes of equipment issues and carry out repairs — welding, fabrication, plumbing, electrical, and component replacements
  • Develop and sustain preventive maintenance plans across all processing equipment
  • Install and maintain electrical wiring, PLC systems, and electronic components; diagnose control and software issues
  • Support capital projects, equipment upgrades, and new installations
  • Lead your maintenance team — recruitment, performance management, and day-to-day leadership
  • Champion a safety-first culture and ensure compliance with food safety, USDA, and biosecurity standards
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and system performance

Required qualifications

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
  • 4+ years in a maintenance or industrial mechanic role
  • Associate's degree in industrial maintenance or 2+ years technical training (HVAC, welding, electrical, or similar)
  • 3+ years in a lead, supervisory, or managerial role
  • Advanced knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems
  • Strong troubleshooting skills; able to read blueprints and schematics
  • Ability to lift 50+ lbs; flexible on hours including overtime and weekends

Preferred qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or certification in industrial maintenance
  • Experience in food, poultry, or agriculture industry maintenance
  • Familiarity with LOTO, harnesses, hoists, and PPE safety equipment
  • Advanced PLC and electrical systems experience
  • Conveyor system diagnostics and maintenance
  • Knowledge of USDA regulations and compliance standards
