A growing national distribution company is seeking an International Ocean Freight Manager to oversee global import operations, ocean freight strategy, & customs compliance.

Responsibilities

• Manage international ocean freight and logistics operations

• Negotiate rates and service agreements with carriers and freight forwarders

• Oversee customs compliance, tariffs, duties, and import/export regulations

• Develop KPIs and improve carrier performance and shipping costs

• Analyze freight spend, savings opportunities, and operational metrics

• Support process improvements and long-term supply chain strategy

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or related field

• 3+ years of international logistics experience

• Experience with ocean freight, container logistics, and customs compliance

• Strong analytical and vendor management skills
