Uptown Soccer Partnerships and Special Projects

Uptown Soccer provides free and low-cost soccer programming to a majority under-resourced youth in Northern Manhattan and the West Bronx. We use soccer as a tool for inspiring and motivating kids to achieve better SEL outcomes and build social capital among our families. We are looking for a VISTA who will help us strengthen our community offerings by seeking out opportunities for collaboration with like-minded organizations to bring both soccer-related and non-soccer-related opportunities to our players and families. This is a great opportunity for candidates with a passion for soccer, uplifting community, and improving the lives of our young people.

Member Duties : The VISTA will be part of the 26-27 Coach Across America national VISTA cohort of 64 members. The Partnerships and Special Projects VISTA will be active in seeking out collaborative opportunities with local sports and community organizations, as well as corporations and influential individuals, that enhance player and family experiences. They will also be responsible for planning events and projects that build community among our members and raise our organization's profile, as well as bring in funding to support our programs.
