Triple Oak Power is seeking a Senior Manager, Development to lead the advancement of complex renewable energy projects across the Central United States. As a senior individual contributor, you'll carry full workstream ownership from early-stage feasibility through permitting, stakeholder engagement, and pre-construction readiness, integrating technical, regulatory, and community priorities to deliver credible, execution-ready projects. This role is built for someone who combines strategic judgment with field-informed leadership, thrives in dynamic multi-stakeholder environments, and is ready to serve as a trusted voice for landowners, agencies, and investment committees alike.

What You'll Do

  • Lead site identification and diligence across the project area, evaluating land, transmission, and community dynamics to drive credible project positioning.
  • Own real estate strategy across the full development lifecycle, from land targeting and leasing through complex agreement negotiation; manage all related documentation and instruments in coordination with Legal and Engineering.
  • Build and manage integrated project plans covering scope, budget, schedule, interconnection milestones, and risk contingencies; drive permitting strategy, public engagement, and environmental review in coordination with legal and external partners.
  • Prepare and present project updates, risk summaries, and milestone reports for senior leadership and investment committees; evaluate vendor proposals and third-party bids for budget alignment and development integrity.
  • Serve as lead contact for landowners, permitting agencies, utilities, and community stakeholders; maintain visible field presence to build trust and inform adaptive strategies; keep project documentation and cloud-based collaboration tools current to ensure cross-team visibility.
  • Manage external consultants across engineering, environmental, permitting, and real estate services; review technical documentation and design packages for compliance with specifications, standards, and jurisdictional requirements.
  • Lead negotiation of key project agreements across site control, interconnection, and community engagement, ensuring commercial terms align with strategy and execution milestones; identify and resolve project-level risks by integrating performance data and stakeholder input.
  • Monitor regulatory changes and permitting trends to keep project strategies current; mentor junior developers and share best practices across execution, consultant management, and cross-functional collaboration.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, environmental science, or a related field; advanced degree or PMP certification preferred.
  • Five or more years of professional experience, including three or more years in energy or infrastructure development, with demonstrated ownership of project advancement and familiarity with permitting, site control, and interconnection processes.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, project management platforms, and documentation systems; familiarity with spatial mapping tools such as Google Earth or GIS.
  • Proven ability to manage relationships with agencies, landowners, and project partners, with interpersonal fluency across field and office settings and experience facilitating alignment among cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated strategic oversight in consultant engagement, milestone tracking, and team coordination, with readiness to guide execution-ready advancement across development phases and regulatory contexts.
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel up to 35%, including to project sites and quarterly meetings at TOP headquarters in Portland, Oregon; authorization to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship.
