Coating Inspector

Job Title: Coating Inspector (Blasting & Coating)

Location: Midland, Texas

Salary: $30–$40 per hour + Full Benefits + Bonus

We are currently seeking an experienced Coating Inspector to support blasting and coating operations within the Oil & Gas industry. This is a key role responsible for ensuring all surface preparation and coating applications meet project specifications, safety requirements, and industry standards. The ideal candidate will have strong inspection experience, excellent attention to detail, and confidence using DFT equipment and testing methods.

The role

• Inspect blasting profiles and coating applications to ensure quality and compliance
• Carry out detailed quality control inspections and produce accurate reports
• Operate handheld digital DFT measuring equipment
• Perform high- and low-voltage holiday testing
• Ensure all work meets safety requirements, project specifications, and industry standards

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in Oil & Gas preferred
• NACE Coating Inspector Certification preferred
• Strong knowledge of coatings, paint systems, and insulation processes
• Background in inspection, construction, manufacturing, or Oil & Gas environments
• Excellent attention to detail with strong communication skills
