Overlake Arthritis and Osteoporosis Center (OAOC) is seeking a highly driven and operationally minded Director of Operations to help lead one of the Pacific Northwest’s leading rheumatology, infusion, and clinical research organizations.

A 9-chair infusion center
An affiliated clinical research division
A third clinic location currently in development in Kirkland, WA
The Opportunity
Overlake Arthritis and Osteoporosis Center (OAOC) is one of the Pacific Northwest's leading rheumatology and infusion practices, with over 20 years of clinical excellence, a 9-chair infusion center, an affiliated clinical research division (Lakeside Clinical Research Center), and a third location currently in development in Kirkland, Washington.
We are seeking a Director of Operations to run the day-to-day business of a growing, multi-service-line healthcare practice. This is not a paper-pushing administrative role. The right candidate will bring operational depth, financial fluency, and the discipline to build and hold systems that allow the practice to scale.
What You Will Own
Practice Operations & Systems
- Oversee daily operations across clinical, infusion, billing, front desk, and research support teams
- Build and maintain SOPs that improve operational consistency
- Lead EOS implementation, including scorecards, rocks, and issue resolution
Financial Performance
- Track revenue cycle metrics and practice profitability
- Support infusion margin management and payer optimization
- Prepare operational dashboards and financial summaries for leadership
People & Culture
- Manage department leads and KPI accountability
- Partner with HR on hiring, onboarding, and performance management
- Foster a culture of accountability and patient-centered professionalism
Growth & Expansion
- Lead operational buildout of the Kirkland expansion
- Support integration between clinical and research operations
- Evaluate vendors, workflows, and technology systems for scalability and efficiency
Who You Are
- You have 5 or more years of operations leadership in a healthcare practice, multi-site clinic, or similar complex medical environment
- You understand physician practice economics - how revenue cycle, drug margins, staffing ratios, and payer contracts interact
- You have worked in or have direct exposure to buy-and-bill infusion, specialty pharmacy, or clinical research operations
- You have experience with EOS, Lean operations, or a comparable structured operational framework
- You are a builder who creates systems, not just a manager who maintains them
- You can hold a team accountable without being authoritarian - you lead by clarity, not fear
- You communicate directly with executives and can translate operational complexity into concise, actionable updates
- You thrive in an entrepreneurial environment where the rules are being written and the pace is fast
Preferred Experience
- Rheumatology, infusion, or specialty care operations
- Buy-and-bill reimbursement or infusion center P&L management
- Clinical trial operations or research site management
- New clinic buildouts and operational scaling
- Prior authorization workflows and payer dynamics
