The Role

Estuary is seeking an Energy Engineering Associate to work in our Reno, Nevada office who will contribute to all aspects of conceptualizing, developing, constructing, and operating energy projects. This role is ideal for someone who has recently completed a bachelor’s degree or with up to 3 years of work experience after a bachelor’s degree. Estuary cannot offer H1B sponsorship at this time.

· Create initial project designs and energy production models.

· Manage external engineering and technical consultants including defining work scope, ensuring work quality, and keeping work on schedule and budget.

· Review engineering designs, studies, and other deliverables throughout the project lifecycle.

· Develop expertise in equipment relevant to our projects; coordinate procurement for construction, equipment, and other services.

· Research markets, regulations, and technologies to generate and evaluate opportunities.

· Assist with the evaluation of new technologies and maintaining approved vendor list for equipment.

· Ensure high quality construction and operation of our projects.

Requirements

· Bachelor’s degree in engineering or other related field.

· Well organized, diligent, and detail oriented.

· Professional demeanor, positive attitude, curious.

· Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.

· Able to build relationships with individuals from a wide variety of backgrounds.

· Desire and acumen to learn new engineering and computing skills and software as needed.

· Enthusiasm for lean, hands-on start-up environment and willingness to embrace a wide variety of roles, from very strategic to very executional.

· Proactive and self-motivated.

· Able to travel out of town occasionally. Able to drive occasionally.
