Heritage Bank is seeking a highly strategic, collaborative, and operationally minded Chief Information Officer to lead enterprise technology across one of the Pacific Northwest’s respected community-focused financial institutions.

Founded in 1927, Heritage Bank has grown from a single location into a strong regional banking organization with branches and commercial banking centers throughout the Pacific Northwest. The bank remains deeply committed to customer relationships, local businesses, employee empowerment, community investment, and long-term shareholder value.

This is not a traditional IT leadership role. Heritage Bank is seeking an executive technology leader who can serve as a strategic business partner, organizational leader, change agent, and trusted advisor to executive leadership and the Board.

The CIO will help architect and execute the bank’s long-term technology strategy while leading cybersecurity, infrastructure, systems, application architecture, digital banking technology, enterprise technology operations, vendor oversight, governance, resiliency, and modernization initiatives. This leader will play a critical role in supporting Heritage Bank’s continued growth, operational scalability, regulatory readiness, customer experience, and future acquisition integration efforts.

Regional, multi-state, or large banking environments

Regulated financial services technology leadership

CIO, CTO, or senior enterprise technology roles

Cybersecurity, infrastructure, governance, and resiliency

Digital banking, customer-facing systems, and transaction-processing environments

Enterprise modernization, data governance, reporting, and analytics

Vendor management, third-party oversight, and systems integration

M&A integration and scalable technology transformation

Heritage Bank is especially interested in a leader who combines strong technical and operational credibility with executive presence, humility, collaboration, and the ability to build alignment across technology, operations, compliance, audit, risk, HR, business leadership, regulators, and the Board.

This is a highly visible executive leadership opportunity for someone who can balance modernization with operational stability, cybersecurity discipline, regulatory rigor, and the community banking values that define Heritage Bank.

The role is fully onsite, with preferred locations in Tacoma or Seattle, Washington.
