Manufacturing Engineer

Akkodis is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer for a Contract job with a client in Erie, Pennsylvania, United States. An ideal candidate should have strong mechanical/manufacturing engineering knowledge, problem-solving skills, and the ability to read drawings and 3D models while supporting shop-floor operations.

Rate Range: $35/hour to $40/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

The Production Support Engineer supports manufacturing and new product builds by solving production and design-related issues. The role works closely with engineering, quality, suppliers, and shop-floor teams to identify problems, find solutions, and maintain engineering documents.

Main Responsibilities

• Support manufacturing and NPI activities
• Investigate production/design issues
• Coordinate with design engineers for solutions
• Update drawings, BOMs, and engineering documents
• Support quality and root cause analysis
• Attend design reviews and inspections
• Communicate with suppliers and factory teams

Required Skills

• Mechanical/manufacturing engineering knowledge
• Ability to read drawings and 3D models
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills
• Comfortable working on the shop floor
