Key Duties
- Monitor plant operations through control room software and communicate necessary actions to shift team members.
- Track and log regular activities and operational systems data
- Troubleshoot system issues and perform basic repairs and/or engage the maintenance team to perform repairs
- Perform regular product quality checks and lab tests, record data and report deviations to shift supervisor or leadership
- Consult with team members and make ongoing adjustments to systems, as needed, to ensure production and quality goals are met
- Operating a forklift daily
- Maintaining a clean and safe work environment
- Other tasks as requested by Management
Requirements And Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Standing for long periods of time and lifting 50 pounds consistently
- Climbing stairs and ladders
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks for self and team and follow specified procedures to comply with health and safety standards
- Ability to meet the physical requirements of the job
- High energy level, team player, excellent work ethic, ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Able to develop and enhance relationships with co-workers and other plant personnel
- Must be flexible and able to change directions quickly due to ever-changing customer needs
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Basic computer skills with Google systems experience
- Forklift experience preferred
Location
Terre Haute, Indiana (in-facility only, remote not available)
Reporting
Role will report directly to the Shift Supervisor
Schedule
Full-time, 12-hour shifts, day (7am-7pm) and night (7pm-7am) available

Work Conditions
The manufacturing plant environment may be hot, noisy, with carbon black and oil present. Product streams include a carbon black stream, a liquid hydrocarbon oil stream, and a hydrocarbon vapor stream. Process equipment will be installed indoors and outdoors and will be at different levels. Access to this equipment will be via stairways and/or ladders. Safety glasses with side shields, safety shoes, hearing protection, and at times a dust respirator will be required in manufacturing.
