At CASA of East Tennessee, we are an intensely collaborative team of four dedicated to improving the lives of abused and neglected children. We provide trained volunteers who advocate for safe, permanent, and loving homes. As an Advocate Supervisor, your ability to communicate effectively and build strong interpersonal relationships is the engine that drives our success.

The Role

Based in our Knox County Juvenile Court Office, this is an in-person role where you will work closely with the Court Program Director to provide professional support to our volunteers. You are the bridge between the court system and the advocates, ensuring every child receives high-quality advocacy and timely permanency planning.

What You’ll Do (Essential Functions)

Empower Volunteers: Provide direction, technical expertise, and detailed case "roadmaps" to support advocates from assignment through final hearings.

Coordinate Advocacy: Manage case assignments, attend home visits and agency meetings, and accompany volunteers to all court hearings.

Ensure Quality: Review case records and edit volunteer reports to meet state and national standards.

Liaise & Collaborate: Cultivate constructive relationships with the Juvenile Court Judge, Magistrates, attorneys, and child welfare partners.

Manage Data: Maintain accurate case records and enter data into CASA Manager to track our impact.

What You Bring

Education & Experience: A Bachelor’s degree in social services (or equivalent experience). Experience in Juvenile Court or managing volunteers is a plus.

Communication Skills: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills are mandatory for drafting court reports and mentoring volunteers.

Relational Heart: A respectful, non-judgmental, and empathetic approach toward the families we serve.

Tech Savvy: Proficiency in Google Workspace and database management.

Commitment: A deep alignment with CASA’s mission and the flexibility to attend occasional evening or weekend events.

Requirements

Minimum age of 21 with a valid driver’s license.

Successful completion of a pre-employment screening and criminal background check.

Completion of CASA volunteer training (provided upon hire).

Salary, Benefits & Culture
