Golden Key Law Group, PLLC is a female-led family law firm committed to delivering high-level legal representation with professionalism, compassion, and operational excellence. We are seeking an experienced Family Law Paralegal who can proactively manage cases, support attorneys strategically, and uphold the Golden Key standard in every interaction.

Position Overview

This role is ideal for a paralegal who knows how to move family law cases forward without constant supervision. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with child support calculations, equitable distribution, discovery management, trial preparation, and deadline tracking. You should be comfortable balancing multiple active matters while staying organized, communicative, and proactive.

You will work closely with attorneys to ensure cases remain trial-ready, deadlines are met, clients are prepared, and attorneys have the support they need to operate efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

• Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, notices, subpoenas, and correspondence

• Prepare and review child support and equitable distribution documentation

• Maintain active awareness of all deadlines, hearings, mediations, and trial preparation needs

• Communicate proactively with attorneys regarding case status, risks, missing items, and upcoming deadlines

• Ensure cases continue progressing without unnecessary delays

• Prepare hearing, mediation, and trial notebooks and supporting exhibits

• Confirm clients are scheduled for preparation meetings before hearings, mediations, depositions, and trial events

• Coordinate litigation support services, including court reporters, interpreters/translators, process servers, and subpoenaed records

• Manage case files within Clio and Lawmatics

• File pleadings and documents with courts and track confirmations

• Maintain daily billing entries and accurate timekeeping

• Meet a minimum billing requirement of 30 billable hours per week

• Support attorneys with overall case management and trial readiness

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of family law paralegal experience required

• Strong working knowledge of child support, equitable distribution, discovery, and trial preparation

• Experience preparing trial notebooks, exhibits, and litigation materials

• Ability to manage multiple active cases independently

• Strong communication, organization, and follow-through skills

• Familiarity with Clio, Lawmatics, and Florida E-Filing preferred

• Professional, client-focused demeanor in high-stress situations

• Strong sense of urgency and accountability
