Position Summary
The Founding GTM Marketer will own go-to-market execution at Kryptsec across both our B2B and B2C motions. Reporting directly to the CEO, this role is responsible for demand generation, content, marketing operations, and community growth.
This is a hands-on, individual contributor role. The successful candidate will personally execute across multiple marketing functions rather than manage a team. Team expansion will be considered once the function is established and results warrant additional headcount.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute demand generation programs across paid and organic channels
- Own the end-to-end content function, including landing pages, email, SEO, and product marketing materials
- Lead community marketing and growth initiatives, including campaign development, audience growth, and retention measurement
- Build and maintain marketing operations infrastructure: analytics, attribution, campaign tracking, and CRM integration
- Support the institutional and university sales motion through marketing collateral, case studies, and pipeline-generating campaigns
- Partner with the CEO and broader team on brand positioning and messaging across audiences
Qualifications
Required:
- 3–6 years of marketing experience
- Direct experience executing in both B2B and B2C contexts, with the ability to articulate how the motions differ and where they overlap
- Demonstrated experience personally running community growth or audience-building programs
- Track record of personally executing paid acquisition, content development, and marketing operations setup
- Measurable campaign results in a startup or early-stage environment
- Proficiency with modern marketing tooling (analytics, email platforms, CMS, CRM)
- Based in or willing to relocate to the Phoenix metropolitan area
- Available for two in-office days per week in Scottsdale for the first month; hybrid or remote thereafter
Preferred:
- Experience marketing to technical audiences (security, developer, IT, or adjacent)
- Background in B2B SaaS, educational technology, or community-driven products
- Familiarity with institutional or university sales cycles
Compensation and Structure
- Evaluation phase: 90-day W-2 employment as an evaluation period. Hourly rate of $50–65/hour based on experience, at approximately 30 hours per week.
- Full-time conversion: At the end of the 90-day evaluation period, both parties will assess fit and performance. Upon mutual agreement, the role converts to a full-time W-2 salaried position.
- In-office requirement: Three days per week in our Scottsdale office for the first 30 days. Hybrid or remote arrangement thereafter, with periodic in-office presence as the role and projects require.
