Position Overview

The Assistant Project Manager will work closely with the Project Manager to ensure successful completion of construction projects. This role will require a strong understanding of project management principles and the ability to assist with overseeing construction and mechanical building systems. The ideal candidate will have excellent organizational, administrative, and problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with project planning, scheduling, and budgeting
  • Coordinate and communicate with all project stakeholders
  • Track project progress and provide regular updates to the Project Manager
  • Assist with managing construction and mechanical building systems
  • Negotiate contracts and change orders with suppliers and subcontractors
  • Identify and resolve project issues and conflicts
  • Provide administrative support to the Project Manager

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in project management or construction management
  • Strong understanding of mechanical building systems, including HVAC
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and MS Project
  • Excellent negotiation and problem-solving skills
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented
  • Strong administrative skills
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
