A growing marketing services firm seeks a Controller to oversee all accounting operations, financial reporting, and compliance while partnering with executive leadership on strategic business decisions.

What you'll do

Oversee all accounting operations – GL, AP, AR, payroll, month-end/year-end close

Prepare accurate financial statements, forecasts, budgets, and variance analysis

Monitor profitability by client, project, and department

Manage cash flow forecasting, banking relationships, and working capital

Ensure compliance with GAAP, tax regulations, and internal controls

Improve financial systems, reporting tools, and operational processes

Supervise accounting staff and collaborate with leadership

Coordinate with external CPA firms, auditors, and regulatory agencies

You have

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

7+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience

Minimum 3 years in a Controller or senior accounting leadership role

Strong experience in marketing agencies, professional services, or project-based businesses (preferred)

Advanced knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, budgeting, and cash flow management

Experience with QuickBooks, NetSuite, or Sage Intacct

Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills

CPA preferred but not required
