Reports to: Program Manager

Employment Type: Full-Time (40 hours/week)

Work Schedule: Primarily standard business hours (EST), with occasional evening and weekend commitments required.

CASA Project Worcester County recruits, trains, and supports volunteers to advocate for children involved in the juvenile court system due to abuse or neglect. Our advocates serve as a consistent, trusted voice—ensuring each child’s best interests are represented in court and beyond.

Position Summary

The Advocate Supervisor plays a central role in supporting and overseeing CASA volunteer advocates as they work with children involved in the juvenile court system. This position provides direct supervision, guidance, and mentorship to volunteers, ensuring high-quality advocacy, accurate reporting, and strong case outcomes. The Advocate Supervisor also contributes to broader program initiatives, including volunteer engagement, training, and community-related efforts, to strengthen CASA’s overall impact.

Key Responsibilities

Volunteer Supervision & Support

  • Supervise and support volunteer advocates in day-to-day case management
  • Provide guidance on case activity, documentation, and communication with stakeholders
  • Assist volunteers in preparing court reports and recommendations
  • Attend case staffings and court hearings alongside volunteers as needed
  • Conduct regular performance check-ins and evaluations of assigned volunteers
  • Identify and communicate volunteer training and support needs to program leadership
  • Serve as a liaison between volunteers and key stakeholders, including courts and partner agencies

Case Management & Quality Assurance

  • Maintain oversight of assigned cases to ensure timeliness, accuracy, and quality of work
  • Manage case files, documentation, and reporting requirements in accordance with organizational standards
  • Coordinate schedules related to court dates, deadlines, and reporting timelines
  • Track and report case-related data for internal reporting and external requirements
  • Provide case coverage during volunteer or staff absences as needed
  • Ensure clear, timely, and professional communication across all case-related interactions

Volunteer Program Support & Engagement

  • Support volunteer recruitment, screening, onboarding, and training efforts
  • Contribute to volunteer engagement, appreciation, and retention initiatives
  • Help integrate new volunteers into active advocacy roles
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development efforts

Organizational & Community Engagement

  • Interface with community partners, agencies, and service providers to support CASA youth
  • Participate in programmatic and organization-wide meetings
  • Contribute to a collaborative, mission-driven team environment

Additional Responsibilities

  • Support organization-wide initiatives and events as needed
  • Participate in team meetings and cross-functional collaboration
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in human services, social work, nonprofit management, or a related field
  • Experience in case management, volunteer supervision, or direct service work
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and relationship-building skills
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work both independently and collaboratively

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in child welfare, juvenile court systems, or foster care
  • Experience in volunteer training or program coordination
  • Knowledge of community resources serving children and families
  • Experience with case management systems or data tracking tools

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

  • Occasional travel within Worcester County and surrounding areas
  • Ability to attend court hearings, meetings, and events as needed
  • Evening and weekend availability required on occasion

Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary Range: $47,000-50,000/year
