THE OPPORTUNITY

Trinity Insulation is one of Florida’s leading commercial mechanical insulation contractors, supporting active projects across the state from three warehouse locations and carrying over $3,000,000 in inventory. We have spent the last several years building a custom ERP and inventory analytics platform — and now we are ready to put a sharp, experienced professional in the seat to run it.

This is a dual-function upper management role. On the purchasing and inventory side, you will have direct access to real-time analytics — turns ratios, dead stock aging, vendor consolidation opportunities, and fabrication profiling — all built and ready to act on. On the logistics side, you will own daily dispatch operations, coordinating drivers and deliveries across the company’s three warehouse locations.

The honest pitch: today you wear two hats. As Trinity continues to grow — we are actively planning a warehouse expansion — the logistics piece will naturally evolve into its own function. The person in this seat today is well-positioned to grow into a purely strategic purchasing and inventory leadership role as the company scales.

WHAT YOU WILL OWN

Purchasing & Inventory:

• End-to-end purchasing for all three warehouse locations (Delray, Orlando, Tampa)

• Inventory levels, reorder points, and SKU rationalization across ~$1.8M in stock

• Vendor relationships, pricing negotiations, and consolidation opportunities

• Dead stock identification and reduction — we have identified ~$300K in slow/dead inventory and want you to address it

• Inter-warehouse transfer strategy to balance stock efficiently across locations

• Raw material inventory planning for fabricated items (Foamglass, Polyisocyanurate Insulation, Cal-Sil and similar)

• Purchasing KPIs and inventory performance reporting to the CFO/Controller

Dispatch & Logistics:

• Daily coordination of drivers and delivery routes across the three warehouse locations

• Job site delivery scheduling in coordination with project managers and the field

• Driver communication and real-time route management via Trinity’s dispatch platform

• Oversight of inter-warehouse transfer logistics

• SMS driver notifications and delivery confirmation tracking (built into our system)

WHAT WE HAVE ALREADY BUILT FOR YOU

You will not spend your first six months figuring out where things are. Day-one tooling is ready:

• Inventory turns by SKU and warehouse — trailing 12 months, with velocity classification (Fast / Medium / Slow / Very Slow / Zero)

• Dead stock aging by warehouse and product group — 0–90 / 91–180 / 181–365 / 366–730 / 730+ day buckets

• Top SKUs by on-hand dollar value — with per-warehouse splits across all three locations

• Vendor consolidation report — trailing 12-month spend, SKU count, and multi-source overlap flagging

• Fabrication profile analytics — production vs. outbound absorption by item

• Delivery dispatch board with live route management, driver assignment, GPS-linked route generation, and SMS notifications

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

• 5+ years of purchasing, inventory management, or supply chain experience in a product-based business

• Demonstrated ability to reduce carrying costs or dead stock through data-driven decision making

• Strong vendor negotiation skills and experience managing multi-vendor supply chains

• Proficiency in Excel — you will work with exported data reports regularly

• Comfort operating in a custom ERP environment (no coding required, but data-literate)

• Analytical mindset with comfort working in cost data — you understand weighted average cost, the margin impact of purchasing decisions, and can read an aging report and translate it into a dollar consequence

• Logistics or dispatch experience, or the operational instincts to learn it quickly

• Strong communicator across all levels — drivers, warehouse staff, project managers, and executive leadership

• Experience in construction, mechanical contracting, or a project-based business where material is consumed at job sites

• Multi-location inventory management experience

• Familiarity with insulation, HVAC, or related mechanical contracting materials

• Experience building or improving purchasing and logistics SOPs from the ground up

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

• Base salary $75,000 – $95,000 commensurate with experience

• Health insurance

• Paid time off and holidays

• Direct reporting relationship to CFO/Controller with high visibility to company leadership

• A genuine growth path — as Trinity expands, this role expands with it
