Satellite Business Segment Director - Hybrid Available- No Relocation Required

Salary: $240K–$260K

Security Clearance: TS/SCI

A leading Space organization is seeking a Business Segment Director to oversee a portfolio of advanced space and national security programs supporting mission-critical systems worldwide.

This leadership role is responsible for driving strategic growth, operational execution, and customer engagement across highly complex programs involving satellites, space systems, secure networking, cybersecurity, cryptographic technologies, and data transport solutions.

The ideal candidate will bring a strong background leading high-value defense or national security programs and experience working within classified environments supporting space-based missions and advanced secure systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and grow a portfolio of complex space and national security programs
• Oversee program execution, financial performance, and customer satisfaction
• Develop and execute short- and long-term strategic growth initiatives
• Drive business development efforts and identify adjacent market opportunities
• Lead cross-functional teams delivering advanced mission solutions
• Build and maintain trusted customer relationships across government and defense sectors
• Navigate highly matrixed organizations while delivering operational excellence
• Will be over 50 Programs/ 50 Million Dollars

Required Qualifications

• 15+ years of leadership experience in Space Systems, or related industries
• Satellites
• Space systems and missions

Proven success managing complex development and production programs

• Experience leading organizations through growth and change
• Excellent communication, business development, and strategic planning skills
• U.S. Citizenship required
• Active TS/SCI Clearance with Polygraph required at time of hire

Preferred Experience

• Background supporting compartmented programs
• Experience with avionics, embedded systems, or secure communications
• Agile development experience
• Established relationships within the Space, Networking, or Cryptography communities
• Experience leading large business segments or highly complex programs
