Vine Family Counseling is dedicated to helping individuals, couples, and families work through life’s challenges to move from a place of distress to a place of healing and thriving. With over six years of clinical experience in Ventura County, our practice specializes in trauma-focused care, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy. Position Summary
We are seeking a motivated and compassionate Associate Mental Health Clinician (AMFT,
ASW, or APCC) to join our team full time. The clinician will provide therapy for children,
couples, families, and individuals. This role requires clinical assessment, treatment planning, and documentation while maintaining a consistent caseload of 20+ clients per week.
Responsibilities
- Provide therapy sessions for children, couples, families, and individuals (in-person/via telehealth).
- Conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, and make clinical diagnoses.
- Complete documentation (progress notes, assessments, MSE, treatment plans) in a timely and thorough manner.
- Support clients through behavior management, collateral services, and crisis intervention.
- Maintain confidentiality and compliance with federal and state standards.
- Collaborate with internal staff and community resources to support client care.
- Attend weekly individual and group supervision, bi-monthly staff meetings, and ongoing trainings.
- Maintain a flexible schedule with availability for at least three afternoons/evenings per week (3:00–7:00 PM).
Compensation
$42/hour for face-to-face clinical sessions.
$20/hour for administrative duties and documentation.
Qualifications
- Required: Active registration with the California BBS as an AMFT, ASW, or APCC (or licensed).
- Proficient in Spanish and willing to conduct sessions in Spanish
- Skills in trauma-focused therapy, such as EMDR, and experience with depression, anxiety, and relational challenges are strongly preferred.
- Proficiency in assessing client needs, creating customized treatment plans, and applying evidence-based therapeutic interventions.
- Ability to conduct individual therapy, as well as group, family, and couples counseling effectively.
- Strong interpersonal skills including effective communication, empathy, and cultural competence.
- Good organizational skills for client documentation, scheduling, and managing case records in compliance with confidentiality standards.
- Experience or interest in working with diverse populations, including individuals of different ages and cultural backgrounds. Multilingual skills are a plus.
- Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, Counseling, Psychology, or a related field.
