Reifsteck Wakefield Fanning & Company (RWF) is seeking an experienced and motivated Project Manager to join our team in the Urbana-Champaign area. This is a full-time, on-site position responsible for leading architectural projects from initial planning and design through construction completion.

Project Managers serve as the primary point of contact for clients, consultants, contractors, and project teams. This role requires strong leadership, communication, technical knowledge, and organizational skills to ensure projects are delivered on schedule, within budget, and in alignment with client goals and design intent.

The ideal candidate is proactive, collaborative, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple projects while maintaining a high level of professionalism and accountability.

Responsibilities

Lead projects through all phases of design and construction

Serve as the primary client contact and maintain strong client relationships

Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, staffing plans, and work plans

Coordinate architects, consultants, and project team members throughout project delivery

Monitor project progress, profitability, scope, and risk

Review drawings and specifications for quality, accuracy, and completeness

Coordinate structural, civil, and MEP disciplines

Conduct project meetings, presentations, and team coordination efforts

Support construction administration including submittal review, contractor communication, and site observations

Maintain organized project documentation and project records

Mentor team members and foster a collaborative, positive work environment

Qualifications

Professional degree in Architecture

8+ years of architectural experience with demonstrated project management responsibilities

Licensed Architect preferred, but not required

Strong understanding of project delivery methods and construction processes

Experience coordinating structural, civil, and MEP consultants

Knowledge of building codes, accessibility requirements, and construction documentation

Strong budgeting, scheduling, contract administration, and risk management skills

Excellent written and verbal communication abilities

Proficiency in Revit required

Experience with project management and financial software preferred

Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
