Design and conduct independent research on microfluidic and 3D printed platforms for cell migration studies.

Develop, optimize, and execute cell based microfluidic assays, including sample preparation, cell culture, microscopy, and experimental workflow refinement.

Position Summary
The postdoctoral scholar will design and fabricate microfluidic platforms using 3D printing techniques, conduct cell migration assays and related single cell experiments, analyze experimental data, and assist with manuscript and proposal preparation.
This Postdoctoral position has supported funding for 2 years.
Relevant/Preferred Education, Experience, Licensure, Certification In Position
- Knowledge of microfluidic device design and operation
- Experience with 3D printing and prototyping mammalian cell culture
- Experience with cell migration assays, fluorescence microscopy and image analysis
- Experience with biomaterials and surface modification
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities And/or Competencies :
- PhD in Engineering or a related field
- Skilled in quantitative data analysis
- Competency of scientific writing and communication
