Douglas County CASA is seeking a Development Director who believes relationships can change lives. This person will help grow support for children who have experienced abuse and neglect by building authentic connections with donors, businesses, sponsors, and community partners.
We are looking for someone energized by meeting people, sharing meaningful stories, and inspiring others to invest in something bigger than themselves. While fundraising experience is important, we care just as much about empathy, integrity, heart and a genuine passion for our mission.
This role is part fundraiser, part community builder, and part advocate for children in foster care.
What You’ll Do
- Build and strengthen relationships with donors, sponsors, businesses, and community partners
- Lead fundraising efforts including donor stewardship, campaigns, events, and sponsorships
- Share CASA’s mission and impact in compelling and authentic ways
- Partner with staff, board members, and volunteers to grow awareness and support
- Create meaningful donor experiences rooted in trust and connection
- Support development operations including donor tracking, acknowledgements, reporting, and campaign coordination.
- Collaborate with staff and board leadership on development planning, events, and volunteer committee support.
What We’re Looking For
- Experience in fundraising, nonprofit development, community engagement, marketing, sales, or relationship management
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Confidence building relationships and asking for support
- Organized, collaborative, and self-motivated
- Passion for helping children and strengthening the community
- Ability to work effectively with people from diverse backgrounds
- Strong team-first mindset and collaborative approach— someone who naturally partners across functions including volunteer outreach, grant writing, events, board leadership, and community engagement to maximize impact and advance CASA’s mission together

Position Details
- Full-time preferred
- Some evening and weekend flexibility required for events and community engagement
- Flexible work environment with some remote work opportunities
- Salary and benefits commensurate with experience and qualifications
