Who we are: We are Candelaria LLP, a fast-paced boutique family law and trusts, probate, and estate planning firm seeking an efficient, hard-working and energetic full-time family law paralegal to add to our growing team. We have a strong work ethic, but we play hard too. This job is on-site in our Walnut Creek office (easily accessible via BART), though we offer some flexibility for working from home or remotely occasionally. This is because the culture of our firm emphasizes teamwork and mentorship, two things that we firmly feel are better rooted via in-person experiences.
Our office provides competitive pay commensurate with experience with eligibility for bonuses. What is listed as the range in this ad is base salary only; we offer competitive base pay plus bonuses based on performance. We also cover health insurance benefits (medical, dental, vision), profit sharing and ability to save more via our 401(k) plan, eligibility to participate in a pension plan, life insurance, paid parking, paid holidays/vacation/sick pays. We will pay for reasonable continuing education costs and notary costs.

Who you are: You are a hard-working, efficient, proactive and knowledgeable paralegal who has at least 1 year of family law specific experience. The successful candidate will also possess:
- Family law knowledge, experience with preparing templates for pleadings, handling discovery, and the ability to execute tasks independently and with minimal supervision.
- Knowledge and commitment to diversity and inclusion and working with people from many backgrounds is a must, as we are a women-led, minority owned law firm.
- Experience working in a fast-paced and demanding work environment.
- Strong people relation skills, as you will be building relationships with clients and attorneys on cases.
- Strong writing skills.
- Professional demeanor and positive attitude.
- Must be self-driven, punctual and reliable.
- Must be meticulous and detail oriented with good organizational skills.
- Understand calendaring, deadlines, and priorities.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat Pro, and Judicial Council forms are a must. Knowledge of Google Workspace, Lawyaw, and Asana are preferred, but not required.
- Must have a good sense of humor.
