Customer Account Manager

Customer Account Manager - must have manufacturing experience.

• Location: Palatine, IL
• Pay: $60,000-70,000 DOE
• Hours: Core business hours (8:30-5pm Monday-Friday)
• Position: Direct hire permanent position

A growing high-volume manufacturing company is seeking a Customer Account Manager Specialist to join their team in Palatine, IL.

This position is ideal for someone with experience in customer account management, client relations, logistics coordination, or manufacturing sales support within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

The successful candidate will act as the key point of contact for customers, ensuring projects, orders, and deliveries are managed smoothly from production through to shipment while maintaining strong long-term client relationships.

Duties and responsibilities as a Customer Account Manager;

• Manage and maintain relationships with existing customer accounts
• Support development of new business opportunities and client growth
• Coordinate with internal production, quality, and logistics teams to ensure customer requirements are met
• Handle customer enquiries, delivery updates, and issue resolution
• Track orders and shipments from production through to delivery
• Attend customer and vendor meetings as required
• Support account growth through upselling and relationship development
• Supervise and support one Customer Service team member

Requirements

• Experience within customer service, account management, client relations, logistics, or sales support
• Manufacturing industry experience required
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• Ability to work cross-functionally with production, warehouse, quality, and logistics teams
• Organized and able to manage multiple customer accounts simultaneously
• Experience handling customer issues and coordinating resolutions
