As we expand our portfolio of hyperscale and enterprise data centers, we're seeking a highly experienced MEP Superintendent to lead all mechanical, process piping, cooling systems and plumbing execution on these technically demanding builds.
Position Overview
The MEP Superintendent will oversee all field operations related to mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection systems on large-scale data center projects. This role requires deep technical expertise, strong leadership, and a proactive approach to coordination and problem-solving. You'll be the on-site authority ensuring that mechanical systems are installed safely, efficiently, and in full compliance with design, schedule, and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage all MEP field activities from preconstruction through commissioning
- Coordinate closely with project managers, design teams, subcontractors, and client representatives
- Ensure adherence to project schedules, budgets, and safety protocols
- Review and interpret MEP drawings, specifications, and submittals
- Monitor installation progress and quality; resolve field issues promptly
- Oversee inspections, testing, and commissioning of MEP systems
- Maintain accurate daily reports, logs, and documentation
- Drive collaboration between trades to avoid conflicts and delays
- Enforce company standards and promote a culture of safety and accountability
Qualifications
- 10+ years of MEP field supervision experience, with at least 5 years on large-scale data center projects
- Deep knowledge of mission-critical Mechanical systems including HVAC systems, Piping, Cooling Systems and plumbing
- Proven ability to manage complex schedules and multi-trade coordination
- Strong understanding of construction safety, QA/QC, and commissioning processes
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills
- Proficiency in construction management software (e.g., Procore, Bluebeam, BIM tools)
- OSHA 30 certification preferred
