Interior Design Operations & Systems Manager

House Sprucing | Carrollton, TX

House Sprucing is a full-service interior design firm specializing in thoughtfully curated homes through new construction, remodels, furnishings, and styling. We are looking for a highly organized, proactive, and forward-thinking individual to join our team as our Interior Design Operations & Systems Manager.

This role is ideal for someone who loves both the operational side of interior design and the creative energy of a fast-paced showroom environment. The right candidate is detail-oriented, systems-driven, dependable, visually creative, and thrives managing many moving pieces at once.

In addition to overseeing purchasing, inventory, logistics, and showroom operations, this role will play a key part in improving how House Sprucing operates. We are seeking someone who is excited about leveraging technology, automation, and AI to help our team work smarter, improve efficiency, and support the continued growth of our business.

You will play a key role in ensuring our projects, showroom, deliveries, and installations run smoothly while helping maintain the elevated client experience House Sprucing is known for.

Responsibilities

Purchasing & Order Management

  • Place and manage orders for all client design projects.
  • Track vendor acknowledgements, invoices, and order confirmations.
  • Maintain organized records of all purchases and client items.
  • Communicate timelines, delays, and shipping updates to the design team.
  • Coordinate with vendors regarding product availability, lead times, and logistics.
  • File and manage all furniture, lighting, and accessory claims.

Inventory & Warehouse Management

  • Oversee incoming deliveries to the House Sprucing warehouse.
  • Label, organize, and track all client inventory and product whereabouts.
  • Maintain accurate inventory systems and improve operational workflows.
  • Coordinate logistics and scheduling for project installations and deliveries.
  • Process incoming showroom accessories and merchandise.

Showroom Operations & Merchandising

  • Maintain the visual presentation and organization of the showroom.
  • Merchandise and style showroom displays seasonally and as inventory changes.
  • Assist with styling client homes during installations and photoshoots.
  • Welcome clients, walk-ins, and vendor representatives during business hours.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for vendor and brand representatives.

Product Sourcing & E-Commerce

  • Source accessories, décor, and styling pieces for projects and showroom displays.
  • Assist with maintaining Shopify product listings, inventory, and pricing updates.
  • Help curate a cohesive and elevated showroom assortment aligned with the House Sprucing aesthetic.

Process Improvement, Systems & AI Innovation

  • Continuously evaluate House Sprucing's workflows, systems, and operational processes to identify opportunities for greater efficiency, accuracy, and scalability.
  • Research, test, and implement AI tools, automations, and emerging technologies that reduce manual tasks and improve team productivity.
  • Design and maintain systems that streamline purchasing, inventory tracking, project management, client communication, and internal operations.
  • Create and document standard operating procedures (SOPs), workflows, templates, and automation processes to support consistency and growth.
  • Partner with leadership to identify operational bottlenecks and develop technology-driven solutions.
  • Train team members on new systems and ensure successful implementation and adoption across the organization.
  • Stay current on advancements in AI, automation, and business technology and proactively recommend improvements that strengthen the client experience and business operations.

Qualifications

  • Interest in interior design, styling, merchandising, or home furnishings.
  • Experience with purchasing, inventory, logistics, showroom operations, or business operations preferred.
  • Shopify or inventory management experience is a plus.
  • Proficiency in Google Workspace and/or Microsoft Office required.
  • Demonstrated ability to improve systems, workflows, and operational processes.
  • Interest in AI, automation, and technology-driven business solutions.
  • Experience implementing software, automations, or process improvements is highly preferred.
  • Strong analytical thinking with a continuous improvement mindset.
  • Comfortable learning and evaluating new technology platforms and tools.

Position Details

  • Full-time
  • In-person position based in Carrollton, TX
  • Compensation based on experience (Range $65,000-$70,000)
