Assistant Food & Beverage Services Manager

Primary Accountability
The Assistant Food & Beverage Manager supports daily operations across the club’s food and beverage outlets while helping ensure exceptional guest experiences, strong team performance, operational consistency, and financial accountability. This role assists in overseeing dining and beverage service operations, supervising staff, supporting training initiatives, coordinating service execution, and maintaining the club’s hospitality and service standards. The Assistant Food & Beverage Manager works closely with senior leadership, culinary, and service teams to deliver a high-quality experience for members and guests in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
Essential Job Functions
Operations & Member Experience
· Assist in overseeing daily food and beverage operations to ensure seamless and efficient service
· Maintain high standards of hospitality, cleanliness, presentation, and professionalism across all outlets and events
· Support floor operations during service periods, acting as a visible and approachable leader for both members and staff
· Address member concerns promptly and professionally while actively seeking opportunities to enhance the member experience
· Ensure compliance with company policies, health regulations, sanitation standards, and safety procedures
· Serve as Manager-on-Duty when assigned, ensuring smooth and professional club operations
· Assist with opening and closing procedures across dining and beverage outlets
Team Leadership & Development
· Support hiring, onboarding, scheduling, and training of food and beverage team members
· Foster a positive, accountable, and team-oriented work culture
· Assist in coaching and developing staff to improve service standards, product knowledge, and operational performance
· Lead pre-service meetings and assist in implementing ongoing staff training programs
· Help monitor labor efficiency and support departmental productivity goals
· Lead by example through professionalism, communication, and service excellence
Financial & Administrative Support
· Assist with inventory management, ordering, receiving, and cost control initiatives
· Support the monitoring of food, beverage, and labor costs while identifying opportunities for operational improvement
· Help maintain accurate records, reports, schedules, and departmental documentation
· Participate in budgeting, forecasting, and departmental planning as needed
· Ensure proper cash handling, revenue control, tip distribution, and POS procedures are consistently followed
Collaboration & Event Support
· Work closely with culinary, banquets, events, and other operational departments to ensure successful execution of services and events
· Coordinate special requests, including dietary accommodations and event-specific needs
· Support special events, private functions, tournaments, and seasonal programming as required
· Assist leadership with operational projects, process improvements, and strategic initiatives
Qualifications
· 2–4 years of experience in food & beverage, restaurant, hotel, club, resort, or hospitality management preferred
· Strong leadership and interpersonal communication skills
· Ability to multitask and remain composed in a fast-paced environment
· Knowledge of food safety standards, service procedures, and hospitality operations
· Food safety and alcohol service certifications preferred or willingness to obtain
· Experience with scheduling systems, POS systems, inventory management, and labor controls preferred
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office; Clubessential and Perfect Venue experience preferred
· Must provide required employment eligibility documentation upon hire

Physical Requirements
· Ability to stand and walk for extended periods during events

· Ability to use a computer and read digital and printed materials
Work Environment
· Hospitality-driven schedule requiring evenings, weekends, holidays, and extended hours during peak event periods
· Fast-paced environment balancing office-based planning with active event oversight in the clubhouse
· Frequent interaction with club members, guests, and staff across multiple departments
