Director of Ecommerce

Feit Electric

Date: 5 days ago
City: Pico Rivera, CA
Salary: $190,000 - $210,000 per year
Contract type: Full time

The Director of Ecommerce owns the digital commerce strategy and P&L across Feit's multi-brand portfolio, Feit, LIFX, Cree at Lowe's, Good Earth Lighting, USI, and private label, spanning Amazon (1P/3P), DTC (lifx.com and international), the Feit B2B Portal, retailer dot-coms, and emerging marketplaces. The role also drives strategy and collaborates closely with the Marketing team on creative, social, and influencer/affiliate engines, driving brand demand and trackable sell-through.

The mission: build digital into a self-sustaining growth engine that diversifies Feit's revenue base away from brick-and-mortar concentration, in close partnership with channel sales, marketing, and operations.

Key Responsibilities

Strategy & P&L

  • Own the multi-year digital strategy and full P&L (revenue, margin, media, fees, fulfillment, contribution margin), including annual plans, forecasts, and executive reporting.
  • Lead the digital pillar of Feit Electric’s growth plan, with explicit targets for digital as a share of total company revenue; set channel architecture and digital pricing strategy with Sales and Brand.

Sales & Marketing Partnership

  • Partner directly with channel sales leaders for each major retailer (Home Depot, Lowe's, Costco, Walmart, Target, Best Buy, Amazon, and others) to set joint digital strategy, integrate digital into the company’s plan, and align on shared revenue and share goals.
  • Co-develop the digital roadmap with Marketing, translating brand strategy into commerce strategy across Feit, LIFX, Good Earth, USI, and Cree, and serve as the senior digital voice in top-retailer meetings.

Channel Management

  • Own Amazon (1P/3P), DTC (lifx.com and international Shopify), the Feit B2B Portal, and collaborate with retailer dot-coms (Home Depot, Lowe's, Costco, Walmart, Target, Wayfair, Best Buy, and others), driving performance across content, retail media, digital shelf, and joint planning with channel sales.
  • Evaluate and operationalize emerging marketplaces (Walmart Marketplace, TikTok Shop, Wayfair, Best Buy Marketplace) where the economics support the diversification thesis.

Retail Media & Advertising

  • Own the full digital ad stack, Amazon Ads (SP/SB/SD/DSP), Walmart Connect, Home Depot Retail Media, Lowe's One Roof, Criteo, Google, Meta, and emerging RMNs, with clear TACoS, ROAS, NTB%, and efficiency targets by brand and channel.
  • Drive full-funnel planning and brand-vs-performance allocation tied to channel and retailer outcomes; optimize in-house vs. agency mix.

Social, Influencer & Affiliate

  • Collaborate with Marketing on social commerce (Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Pinterest, Meta, including shoppable formats), influencer programs (tiered creators, ambassadors, FTC compliance, whitelisting), and affiliate/creator commerce (Amazon Associates/Creator Connections, ShareASale, Impact, Rakuten, CJ, retailer affiliate programs), driving attributable revenue into DTC, Amazon, and retailer.com.

Agency, Vendor & Tool Management

  • Own the full portfolio of digital agencies and SaaS tools (retail media, DTC performance, SEO, social/influencer/creator, affiliate, content, analytics, listing optimization, review management), setting scope, KPIs, scorecards, fee structures, and governance.
  • Lead RFPs, negotiations, and renewals; hold partners accountable to P&L-tied outcomes and build a single integrated stack across brands, eliminating redundancies.

Digital Product Roadmap

  • Set the multi-year roadmap for the ecommerce tech stack, DTC storefronts, B2B portal, retail media tooling, social/influencer/affiliate platforms, and analytics, in partnership with Marketing & IT.
  • Drive site experience improvements across search, PDP, checkout, and post-purchase.

People Leadership & Sales Operations

  • Lead, develop, and scale a multi-disciplinary digital and sales operations organization across channel management, DTC, retail media, social/influencer/affiliate, content, analytics, omnichannel sales ops across brands for digital channels.
  • Build a high-performance culture with clear accountability, career pathing, and succession; optimize in-house vs. agency to manage multi-brand complexity efficiently.

Analytics & Insights

  • Drive data-led decisions via category dashboards, share-of-shelf, competitive monitoring, social/influencer performance, and affiliate attribution.
  • Establish the cross-brand KPI framework and report performance, including digital share of total revenue, to executive leadership.

Qualifications

Required

  • 10+ years of progressive ecommerce experience, including 5+ years leading multi-channel digital businesses with $100M+ in digital revenue, direct P&L ownership, and a track record building digital into a meaningful share of total company revenue (ideally from a brick-and-mortar-heavy base).
  • Deep, hands-on expertise across Amazon Vendor/Seller Central, Shopify DTC at scale, retail media networks, and social/influencer/affiliate programs delivering attributable revenue, combined with proven agency portfolio management, senior sales partnership, omnichannel sales operations oversight, people leadership of 5+ reports, and strong financial acumen (unit economics, contribution margin, media efficiency, agency ROI).

Preferred

  • Lighting, smart home, electrical, or consumer electronics experience; multi-brand portfolio experience including mass-and-premium flex.
  • B2B and international ecommerce experience; familiarity with PIM/DAM, syndication (Salsify), and influencer/affiliate platforms.

What Success Looks Like

  • Year 1: Unified digital P&L across brands, integrated rhythm with each channel sales team, single KPI dashboard, rationalized agency/tool stack, always-on social/influencer/affiliate model live, sales ops aligned across omnichannel, and a 12-month roadmap tied to company strategic plan. Digital-share-of-revenue baseline established.
  • Year 2: Measurable share gains on Amazon and key retailer.coms, step-change in retail media efficiency and agency ROI, scaled LIFX DTC growth engine, and a creator/affiliate program contributing attributable revenue.
  • Year 3: Digital operating as a self-sustaining growth engine and top contributor to Feit's sales targets, materially diversifying away from brick-and-mortar concentration.
