JOB POSTING
The School District of Mayville (Mayville, WI) is looking for an energetic, patient, and student-centered educator to join our team for the 2026–27 school year. If you love the unique energy of middle schoolers and want to help them navigate the jump from "doing arithmetic" to "thinking like mathematicians," we want to meet you!
The Vibe at Mayville Junior/Senior High
We aren't just a school; we’re a community. Our staff works closely together to bridge the gap between elementary foundations and high school success. We take pride in being a place where teachers actually know their students’ names, interests, and quirks. We support one another, share ideas, and believe that a positive school culture starts in the classroom.
The Ideal Candidate
Middle school math is about building confidence. We are looking for a teacher who:
- Connects with Kids: You understand that junior high is a time of big transitions, and you’re ready to build the strong relationships that make learning possible.
- Collaborates: You’re excited to work with the middle-level team to support the "whole child," not just their test scores.
- Stay Curious: You’re committed to growing your craft and finding new ways to keep students engaged.
The Details
- Assignments: Potential courses include 7th or 8th-grade Mathematics and Pre-Algebra. We aim to match your strengths with our students' needs.
- Licensure: Candidates must hold or be eligible for Wisconsin DPI licensure in Mathematics (specifically covering the 6–8 grade range, such as 4–12, 6–12, or K–9).
- Beyond the Classroom: We value teachers who want to be part of the Mayville "Cardinal" spirit! Coaching and co-curricular advisor opportunities are available for those looking to get involved in sports, clubs, or student activities.
Flexibility in assignment may be considered based upon licensure and scheduling needs.
The School District of Mayville welcomes applications from both seasoned middle-school veterans and those just beginning their teaching journey.
