How You'll Contribute

A Behavioral Health Aide who excels in this role:

  • Education: High School diploma required. Associates Degree in social work, psychology, sociology or related field preferred
  • Required Skills: Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action. Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS)
  • Licenses: Must have or apply for a Washington State Agency Affiliated Counselor within thirty (30) days of employment.
  • Bilingual and/or English-Spanish speaking preferred. Ability to work with culturally diverse population.
  • May work as an agency affiliated counselor while the application is processed by the state, or possess current Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Mental Health Counselor Associate (LMHCA), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist Associate (LMFTA), Licensed Advance Social Worker (LASW), Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW), Licensed Social Worker Associate & Advanced (LSWAA) as defined by the Washington State Department of Health.
  • Minimum Work Experience Three (3) years' recent clinical / management experience in mental health treatment preferred.

What We're Looking For

The Mental Health Professional must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action. The requirements listed below are below representative of the knowledge, skills and abilities required:

  • Bilingual and/or English Spanish speaking preferred and ability to work with culturally diverse population.
  • Master's Degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology or related field from an accredited university.
  • Must be a Licensed Agency Affiliated Counselor or Certified Agency Affiliated Counselor.
  • Certifications: Current American Heart Association BLS certification or obtained within 90 days after hire date.
  • At least five years experience working in the Mental Health Field preferred.
  • Required Skills: Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work within the required supervision parameters established by Washington Department of Health Licensed Professional Counselors.
