To build highly automated, long-endurance UAV platforms capable of operating in the most demanding environments to support defense, security, infrastructure monitoring, disaster response, and other critical missions.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Sourcing & Supplier Management

  • Build, qualify, and manage AS9100-compliant supplier and machine-shop networks across North Carolina and the United States.
  • Manage sourcing for aerospace materials, electronics, hardware, consumables, and ground-support equipment.
  • Lead supplier qualification, audits, PPAP first articles, and corrective actions in partnership with Quality and Engineering teams.
  • Own strategic supplier relationships, including international and domestic aerospace vendors.

International Logistics & Compliance

  • Manage inbound international logistics from European operations, including customs brokerage, HTS classifications, duties, tariffs, and shipment tracking.
  • Ensure compliance with ITAR/EAR regulations and related import/export documentation.
  • Coordinate transatlantic shipments to support aggressive production schedules and operational milestones.
  • Support hazmat receiving programs in compliance with DOT, OSHA, NFPA, and related regulations.

Materials Flow & Inventory Management

  • Design and manage receiving, inventory control, warehouse flow, kitting, and staging operations.
  • Implement and maintain ERP/MRP inventory management systems.
  • Manage inventory accuracy, cycle counts, inventory turns, and production material planning.
  • Support production ramp-up activities and long-term supply planning initiatives.

Procurement & Supplier Quality

  • Personally manage procurement execution, expediting, and receiving coordination during initial site startup.
  • Maintain open purchase order and shipment trackers for operational visibility.
  • Drive supplier-quality initiatives including AS9100 supplier programs, scorecards, corrective actions, and NCR resolution.

Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Collaborate closely with Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, Composites, Electrical Engineering, EHS, and Operations teams.
  • Support plant startup activities, equipment procurement, and long-lead sourcing strategies.
  • Provide regular KPI reporting on supplier performance, inventory, delivery status, and material risks.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, Business, or related field preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience in aerospace, defense, or highly regulated manufacturing supply chain environments.
  • 5+ years managing end-to-end supply chain operations including procurement, logistics, supplier quality, inventory, and materials management.
  • Demonstrated experience with international logistics, customs compliance, and ITAR/EAR-controlled shipments.
  • Experience developing and managing AS9100 supplier-quality programs and PPAP processes.
  • Strong ERP/MRP implementation or management experience.
  • Familiarity with DOT Hazmat, OSHA HazCom, and industrial receiving requirements.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and supplier-management skills.
  • Must be able to obtain US Security Clearances (Under ITAR/EAR regulations)

Preferred Qualifications

  • UAV, aerospace, or defense manufacturing experience.
  • Experience supporting production transfers between European and U.S. operations.
  • Familiarity with North Carolina aerospace and industrial supplier networks.
  • APICS CSCP, CLTD, CPIM, or equivalent certification.
  • Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma certification.
  • Experience operating within FAR/DFARS or NIST 800-171/CMMC environments.
  • Military logistics or DoD program experience preferred.
  • Ukrainian language skills are a plus.

Work Environment

  • Full-time, on-site position in Fayetteville, NC
  • Frequent interaction with production floor, warehouse, and receiving operations
  • Domestic travel up to 20% for supplier visits, audits, and operational support
  • International travel up to 10% for supplier coordination and production support
  • Ability to work in industrial manufacturing environments requiring PPE
  • On-call availability for critical shipment or production escalations
