Position Type: Part-Time (.50 FTE to start, with flexibility based on organizational needs)

Compensation: Compensation range anticipated at approximately $24–$30/hour DOE

Position Overview

Setting Sun Circle is seeking a thoughtful, grounded, and people-centered individual to join our growing team in a support-focused People & Process role centered around employee relations, recruitment coordination, onboarding support, and day-to-day organizational processes.

This role is intended to support the human side of organizational growth while helping maintain operational continuity, communication, and care across teams and initiatives. The position will assist with people processes that are primarily HR-related while also supporting broader organizational operations and workflow coordination where needed.

We are looking for someone who values communication, relationship-building, adaptability, and thoughtful process development while respecting Indigenous ways of knowing, being, and community-centered leadership. This role requires someone who can balance organization and structure with empathy, professionalism, and care for the people they work alongside.

This role works closely with leadership and operational support teams to help maintain responsive, organized, and sustainable people processes during an exciting period of organizational growth and transition.

Core Areas of Support

Employee Relations & People Support

• Serve as a supportive and professional point of contact for employee communication and general people-process support

• Assist with employee relations coordination and follow-through under leadership guidance

• Support communication, documentation, and organizational consistency across employee processes

• Help maintain respectful, thoughtful, and culturally grounded workplace interactions

• Assist in maintaining confidentiality and professionalism in sensitive situations

Recruitment & Onboarding Support

• Coordinate recruitment processes, scheduling, and candidate communication

• Assist with job postings, interview coordination, and onboarding preparation

• Support onboarding workflows and help ensure new team members feel welcomed and informed

• Maintain recruitment and onboarding documentation and organizational records

Organizational & Process Support

• Assist with day-to-day administrative and operational coordination related to people processes

• Help identify opportunities for workflow improvement and process consistency

• Support development and maintenance of organizational procedures and systems

• Assist leadership with follow-through on organizational priorities and communication efforts

• Provide general organizational support as needed during periods of growth and transition

Preferred qualifications may include

• Understanding of or respect for Indigenous perspectives, community values, and relational approaches to leadership and communication

• Experience working with Tribal communities and/or Indigenous organizations strongly preferred

• Calm, grounded, and adaptable demeanor

• Ability to navigate sensitive conversations with professionalism and care

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

• Comfort working in evolving, collaborative, and mission-driven environments

• Ability to approach work with mindfulness, humility, accountability, and respect

• Associate degree, certificate, or coursework related to Human Resources, Business, Administration,

Organizational Leadership, or related fields

• Equivalent work experience in people support, office administration, HR support, operations support,

community-centered work, or related environments

• Strong written and verbal communication skills
