Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented Inventory Specialist to manage inventory accuracy, support manufacturing and order fulfillment processes, and coordinate shipping activities. The role ensures optimal stock levels, timely order processing, and continuous improvement of inventory controls to support operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate inventory records through regular cycle counts, reconciliations, and adjustments.
• Monitor stock levels and reorder points; create and execute replenishment plans to prevent stockouts and overstock.
• Coordinate with manufacturing to track work-in-progress (WIP) and finished goods, ensuring materials are available for production schedules.
• Process inbound and outbound shipments, including receiving, inspection, labeling, and documentation to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment.
• Manage order fulfillment activities: pick, pack, stage, and verify orders for shipment in accordance with company standards.
• Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, returns, damaged goods, and supplier/shipping issues in a timely manner.
• Implement and maintain inventory control procedures, best practices, and safety standards to improve accuracy and efficiency.
• Provide inventory reports and analysis to operations and management to support forecasting, cost control, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in inventory control, warehouse operations, or manufacturing support; experience with order fulfillment and shipping preferred.
• Familiarity with inventory management systems (WMS/ERP) and barcode/RFID technologies.
• Strong attention to detail, with proven ability to perform cycle counts and reconcile discrepancies.
• Good understanding of manufacturing processes, supply chain fundamentals, and material handling.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with production, purchasing, and logistics teams.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritize tasks, and troubleshoot operational issues.
• Basic computer skills including MS Excel for reporting and data analysis; experience with inventory modules in ERP systems is a plus.
• Forklift certification or experience with warehouse equipment preferred but not required.
