About This Role
Hospice chaplaincy is not about having the right words. It’s about showing up, listening deeply, and being present when life feels most fragile. At Superior Hospice, our Chaplain is a trusted companion for patients and families navigating fear, grief, meaning, faith, doubt, and legacy.
We are seeking a Chaplain who understands that end-of-life care is sacred work and who is comfortable supporting individuals from all spiritual, religious, and cultural backgrounds. This role is ideal for someone who finds purpose in quiet moments, honest conversations, and steady presence.
Why Join Superior Hospice

- Practice chaplaincy with time, intention, and respect, not rushed visits
- Work alongside nurses, social workers, physicians, and aides who care deeply
- Serve patients and families in moments that truly matter
- Join a growing hospice organization built on heart, humility, and teamwork
What You’ll Do
- Provide spiritual and emotional support to patients facing end-of-life

- Support families through anticipatory grief, loss, and transition
- Honor and respect diverse belief systems and cultural traditions
- Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings, contributing spiritual insight
- Facilitate meaningful conversations around life review, legacy, forgiveness, and closure

- Comfortable supporting patients regardless of faith, belief, or spiritual identity
- Strong listener with emotional maturity and compassion
- Grounded, reliable, and able to navigate emotionally complex situations
- Passionate about hospice and the role of spiritual care in holistic medicine
Why This Role Feels Different
- Spiritual care is treated as essential, not optional
- You’ll have the space to practice presence, not productivity
- Leadership that understands the emotional weight of hospice work
- A team that supports one another with empathy and respect
- Opportunity to grow with a hospice program that is expanding thoughtfully
