Our client is a privately held investment and advisory firm that has grown into a global organization. It provides wealth management and financial solutions for individuals, families, nonprofits, and institutions, focusing on long-term strategy and client success.

This is a full-time position based in Norfolk, VA, paying $28.00 to $36.00 per hour. This is a contract position supporting administrative and operational functions within our client’s Client Accounting department.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor PO boxes and distribute mail to team members
  • Scan, upload, and organize physical documents into internal systems
  • Maintain electronic filing and document management practices
  • Perform high volume bank reconciliations (~180/month) and flag discrepancies
  • Retrieve account statements from portals
  • Track and monitor tax document collection (e.g., K-1s) and supporting documents
  • Maintain status trackers and provide progress updates
  • Assist with organizing files for tax preparation
  • Support data entry and spreadsheet updates
  • Assist with recurring administrative workflows and ad-hoc tasks

Qualifications

  • 1-2 years of administrative, bookkeeping, or operations support experience preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Familiarity with financial documents is helpful but not mandatory
  • Experience with accounting or document management systems is a plus
  • Excellent computer skills, especially in Excel and online systems
  • Strong organization, tact, discretion, and good judgment
  • Ability to work independently with high accuracy and attention to detail
