Position Overview
Arkansas Community Colleges (ACC) is seeking an organized and detail-oriented Administrative Support Specialist to join our team. This role is ideal for a proactive professional who excels at providing exceptional support across various business functions. This position is full-time, Monday through Friday, with occasional weekend and overnight travel. The expected start date is July 1, 2026.
Key Responsibilities
Communication & Client Relations
- Draft, edit, and distribute professional written correspondence and reports
- Coordinate meetings, prepare agendas, and distribute meeting minutes
Organizational Excellence
- Manage calendars, schedule appointments, and coordinate travel arrangements
- Prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines while maintaining attention to detail
Project Support
- Support project management initiatives
- Assist with budget tracking, expense reporting, and invoice processing
Core Competencies
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Superior organizational abilities with strong attention to detail
- Professional demeanor with excellent interpersonal skills
- Problem-solving mindset with ability to work independently
- Discretion in handling confidential and sensitive information
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting executives, teams, or clients in a professional environment
- Background in project and/or event coordination
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Experience with Google Workspace applications (Drive, Docs, Sheets, Forms, Calendar)
- Experience with Constant Contact or similar email marketing platforms
- Experience with Quickbooks or other accounting software
- Comfortable learning new software applications and digital tools
- Basic understanding of database management and data entry
