Director of Prevention Programs

DIRECTOR OF PREVENTION PROGRAMS — FULL TIME

SALARY EXEMPT | Full-Time In-Office — Tuscaloosa, AL

Boys & Girls Clubs of West Alabama is seeking a Director of Prevention Programs to lead prevention-focused programs, activities, services, and special events for Club members and youth served through outreach. This position will focus on trauma-informed practices, positive youth development, and providing support that helps young people navigate challenges, build coping skills, develop leadership abilities, and make healthy choices.

The Director of Prevention Programs will work closely with Club leadership, administrative staff, program teams, families, schools, community agencies, and ADMH to ensure prevention programming is effective, responsive, and mission-driven. This role will also advocate for youth participants, support emerging behavioral or mental health needs, strengthen partnerships, and help create safe, healthy, and positive Club environments across West Alabama.

Required

• Master's Degree in Social Work, Behavioral Sciences, or other related field
• Minimum two years of experience in prevention programming
• A bachelor's degree will be accepted with a minimum of ten years of prevention programming experience
• Prevention Certification with ADMH or willingness to obtain certification within the first two years of employment
• Valid Driver's License and ability to travel

SALARY

$60,000-65,000 depending on experience

FULL TIME

40 hours per week
