Position Summary

The Elementary School Teacher is responsible for planning and delivering instructional lessons that support the academic, social, and emotional development of students. The teacher creates a positive learning environment, implements curriculum standards, and works collaboratively with staff and families to support student success.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging lessons aligned with district and state curriculum standards.

• Create a safe, supportive, and inclusive classroom environment that promotes student learning and respect.

• Assess and monitor student progress using a variety of assessment tools and strategies.

• Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse learning needs of students.

• Manage classroom behavior and establish clear expectations for student conduct.

• Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student progress and classroom activities.

• Collaborate with other teachers, support staff, and administrators to improve instructional practices.

• Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and school activities.

• Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and performance.

• Support the social and emotional development of students.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field.

• Valid state teaching certification for elementary education.

• Knowledge of instructional strategies, classroom management, and student assessment practices.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to work collaboratively with students, families, and school staff.

Work Environment

• Classroom setting in an elementary school.

• Daily interaction with students, teachers, administrators, and families.
