MARKETING & SOCIAL MEDIA CONTRACTOR
POSITION DESCRIPTION + SERVICES AGREEMENT

PROJECT SCOPE
Temporary, contractual services to support The Music Settlement (TMS), by providing content creation and social media management. Depending on time and evolving needs, the role may also include limited website editing, graphic design, and multimedia production. Due to the needs of TMS and demands of the work, the contractor will primarily work on site at The Music Settlement’s University Circle and Ohio City campuses rather than remotely. Hours/week will vary depending on the deliverables being completed and needs of TMS.
DELIVERABLES
Contractor will work independently to communicate with the organization concerning events to be covered and create, distribute, and report on the content described below:
Social Media
- Coordinate video and photo capture for various programs (private lessons, group lessons, preschool, camps, etc.).
- Capture and edit photos and videos for use across platforms.
- Manage and create content for TMS social media accounts (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter, and YouTube).
- Schedule and publish social media content in advance.
- Monitor social media performance and pull insights (reach, impressions, engagement).
- Assist with creating monthly reports on social media metrics.
Design & Branding
- Maintain and apply TMS’s visual brand identity across print and digital platforms.
- Organize and update digital assets, templates, logos, and marketing materials.
- Design social media graphics and visuals for Facebook and Instagram.
- Conceptualize and assist in producing print and digital marketing collateral (such as using Canva and Adobe platforms to create flyers, brochures, posters, event signage, digital ads, etc.).
Communications
- Review and edit copy for newsletters, website updates, and social media posts.
- Collaborate with staff to gather content and understand needs for marketing.
- Track project performance and contribute to evaluating successes and areas for improvement.
COMPENSATION
TMS agrees to compensate contractor for services at $22/hour. TMS anticipates that producing these deliverables will require 15-25 hours a week, fluctuating with TMS activities schedule and needs.
Agreement is for up to 25 hours per week depending on the events / activities scheduled at TMS, and not more than 100 hours per monthly invoice, except by prior written approval of Geri Presti
TMS anticipates needing these services beginning in early May and ending on June 30, 2026, unless extended by mutual agreement.
This agreement may be terminated, depending on the needs of TMS, by TMS, with 15 days’ notice to contractor, which may be via email.
Contractor will submit invoices monthly, no later than the 13thof each month for the prior month’s work, to Geri Presti: ***email_hidden*** and Steve Kreger: [email protected].
ADDITIONAL NOTES
Contractor will utilize TMS equipment such as cameras, video equipment and a laptop with TMS owned systems access and software. All equipment will be treated with care and caution and returned to TMS at the conclusion of the project. Contractor agrees to return all digital assets and materials and will not use such assets and materials themselves in the future for any reasons, including posting publicly nor sharing with any AI tools, other than their personal work portfolio which will be private and not made available publicly.
